Fania Noël

Fania Noël, est militante, sociologue et essayiste afroféministe. Ses écrits universitaires et grand public sont centrés autour de ses domaines de recherche principaux: Global Black Studies notamment les féminismes Noirs, les théories féministes, la sociologie politique et la racialisation du genre dans la science-fiction. Son second livre, Et Maintenant le pouvoir. Un horizon politique afroféministe a été publié en 2022 aux Éditions Cambourakis. Directrice de publication de la revue Alaso et de AssiégéEs, Fania Noël est spécialiste de bell hooks et de Octavia Butler.

Fania Noël is an activist, sociologist, and Afrofeminist writer. Her academic and public writings are centered around her primary research areas: Global Black Studies particularly Black feminisms, feminist theories, political sociology, and the racialization of gender in science fiction. In 2022, her second book, Et maintenant le pouvoir. Un horizon politique afroféministe (Editions Cambourakis), was published. Fania Noël is the publication director of both Alaso and AssiégéEs, she is also a specialist in bell hooks and Octavia Butler.
