Comment déconstruire l’hétéronormativité pour parvenir à être soi ? Roman de traversée, Colza s’installe dans les interstices : entre campagne et ville, entre construction d’une identité queer et misogynie intériorisée, entre fantasmagories et amours réelles. Le corps gouine s’élabore au fil de ce périple contre les injonctions patriarcales et sexistes. Ce roman est le récit du trouble : celui de Colza (personnage éponyme), qui a trouvé la liberté de s’inventer et d’écrire sa propre histoire au-delà des normes binaires.
At the beginning, escapades in the rapeseed fields and the quiet discovery of the body; then the body seen, projected, constrained and assigned by others. How do you deconstruct heteronormativity in order to be yourself? A novel of crossing, Colza settles in the interstices: between countryside and city, between the construction of a queer identity and internalised misogyny, between fantasies and real love affairs. The queer body develops along the way against patriarchal and sexist injunctions. This novel is the story of trouble: that of Colza (the eponymous character), who has found the freedom to invent and write their own story beyond binary norms.

Al Baylac est un·e auteurice qui écrit sur son rapport ambigu à la ruralité, sa sexualité gouine, sa déconstruction de genre, sa soif d’émancipation de la binarité et de la société hétéro-patriarcale. Iel aime mettre ses textes en voix et sur les planches pour rendre hommage à l’oralité des mots.
Al Baylac is an author who writes about their ambiguous relationship with rural life, their dyke sexuality, their deconstruction of gender and their thirst for emancipation from binarity and hetero-patriarchal society. They love to put their texts to voice and perform them on stage as a tribute to the oral nature of words.
