Notre monde est au bord de la catastrophe écologique, sociale et démocratique. Notre héritage, notre avenir se trouvent dans une terre polluée, des sols contaminés mais aussi, semble-t-il, dans le règne d’une logistique millimétrée et dans la dépendance au numérique. Ce système mondialisé et capitaliste repose sur toujours plus d’ouverture, une croyance démesurée dans le progrès infini et dans la technologie. L’immense majorité de la population mondiale en dépend au quotidien pour (sur)vivre.
Mais jusqu’où pouvons-nous aller comme ça ? A moyen-terme, ce système nous condamne tous.tes. Emmanuel Bonnet, Diego Landivar et Alexandre Monnin montre qu’il faut désormais inventer un art de la fermeture, du démantèlement, réaffecter et transformer notre patrimoine pollué, une (anti)écologie d’urgence
An Ecology of Dismantling
Our world is on the verge of an ecological, social and democratic catastrophe. Our legacy, our future, lies in a polluted earth, contaminated soils, but also, it seems, in the reign of millimeterized logistics and in the dependence on digital technology. This globalized and capitalist system is based on an ever increasing openness, an immoderate belief in infinite progress and in technology. The vast majority of the world’s population now depends on it to live (or rather survive) every day.
But how far can we keep on going like this? In the medium-term, this system condemns us all. Emmanuel Bonnet, Diego Landivar and Alexandre Monnin show that it is now necessary to invent an art of closure, of dismantling, to reallocate and transform our polluted heritage, and create an emergency (anti)ecology.
