L’humanité dépend pour sa survie d’une organisation sociale et d’infrastructures qui ne pourront être indéfiniment maintenues. Pour que la Terre reste habitable, il faut organiser le renoncement, pas seulement à l’échelle individuelle, mais aussi à l’échelle de ces « communs négatifs » qui composent notre cadre de vie. Le problème est qu’on ne redevient pas facilement « terrestres » à huit milliards. Entre l’arrêt de tout et l’intenable business as usual, existe-t-il une ligne de crête qui permettrait la survie de l’espèce dans des conditions justes et démocratiques ? Ce livre propose une politique des communs négatifs qui nous permette de penser les moyens d’un détachement anticipé et non brutal pour les populations les plus fragiles.
For its survival, humanity depends on a social organization and infrastructures that cannot be maintained indefinitely. For the Earth to remain habitable, we must organize renunciation, not only on an individual scale, but also on the scale of the "negative commons" that make up our living environment. The problem is that it is not easy to come "down to earth" again with eight billion people. Between the end of everything and the untenable business as usual doctrine, is there a ridge that would allow the survival of the species under fair and democratic conditions?
This book presents a politics of the negative commons that allows us to think about the means of an anticipated and non-brutal detachment for the most fragile populations.
